A systems view of technology infusion

A systems view of technology infusion

One of the significant changes in my way of thinking about technology integration has been a shift in focus—away from designing training and programs that target individual teachers to designing systems (both at K12 and higher education levels) that support teachers...

East Lansing in the NYTimes

Olivia Judson has a great column in the NYTimes about evolution. Today's column titled "Stop the mutants" is a thought experiment on how evolution would fare if all mutations were to magically stop. It is an interesting article, and in keeping with her previous...

Cool logos

I just came across this page of excellent logo designs. Some of the designs may need a moment or two to truly register. Check out 20 Unique and Creative Logo Designs. Here are couple of my favorites.

TE150 & the hope of audacity

Matt Koehler and I were asked to create an audio introduction to TE150 for the ATT and MSU award ceremony, and website. It is amazing what three people can do in a couple of hours, given a microphone and Audacity (the open source audio editing software). Check it out...

AI is WEIRD: Part II

AI is WEIRD: Part II

Note: The image above is an original design - showing "AI" embedded in the word "WEIRD" Generative AI is weird... as I had written in my previous blog post, identifying some key characteristics I had described in a recent Keynote presentation. In the process of...

Endless rewriting: What great academic advising looks like

Helen Hazen, is the author of 1983 book, Endless Rapture: Rape, Romance, and the Female Imagination. In a recent article in The American Scholar titled "Endless Rewriting" she recounts the way the book came to be and in particular the role that her editor (Jacques...

Creativity, Digitality, and Teacher PD

It has been almost 5 years since my research interests shifted formally to issues related to creativity, technology and teacher education. This line of work (though less influential than my TPACK related work) has led to multiple journal articles and research studies....

Going crazy with i-Image

In a previous post I had described David Wong's ideasarecool.com website and his idea of making i-Images. As David describes them, i-Images are "professional, provocative images that seize the viewer's attention and, more importantly, spark their imagination." Anyway,...

Facebook is great phenomenal on socialnetwork. But, What make me little disappointed with FB is their privacy policy. Everything that we upload there will be available for FB even we already close our account. IMO

And I just realized when I re-read this… when I said “sharing” the framework, I meant to add with a stranger (no longer) who I was sharing laptop power with. Nice to have those real human connections interspersed throughout the year.

I have an advantage over you in that Punya Mishra is not really a common name (even in India, where I come from).

…sitting in the back of a TPACK talk at NECC before Judi Harris & Mark Hofer begin… as I was sharing my level of familiarity with the framework (no expert for certain) I mentioned your name (along with Matt). So that led me to check your blog… and that led me to your Facebook post… and that led me to search for mine… and that led me to try to get “seannash”… and since I failed at that, I added *nashworld* because, as always, it WAS available… and though I can multitask like a monkey, they’re starting to talk… i’ll shut up now but thanks for the reminder… at least i scored my goofy “brand”…

    Cheers 😉
