Milap 2008

by | Tuesday, March 11, 2008

The Indian Cultural Society of greater Lansing (ICS) held its annual cultural program Milap 2008 this past Saturday. It was a great program with traditional and Bollywood dances, songs, and other performances. My daughter Shreya’s dance troup, performed a Kathak dance (a traditional Indian dance style), to a classical Hindi song (Madhuban mein Radhika naache re…). I was volunteered to be the unofficial photographer of the event and I took over 400 photographs over two hours or so, 350+ of which are now available for viewing on my Flickr site.

That is my 8 year old on the left. You can see the entire show by going here (external link to a set on Flickr) or just photographs of my daughter’s dance group by going here.
