Happy 2010! Stop motion movie

by | Wednesday, December 30, 2009

I have had a lot of fun this year playing with video. Most of these experiments were done with my kids (nothing like combining work with pleasure). One of the things we had done last year was a stop motion new year’s card. So we just HAD to create one this year as well. Enjoy!
[FYI: Links to last year’s creations can be found below]

Best Wishes for 2010!
from Shreya, Soham, Smita & Punya!

Here is a list of other explorations in video made in the past year or so with family. As you may notice some of these movies (particularly the series Explore, Create, Share) are ones that I use in my teaching – nothing like getting your kids to do your work for you 🙂

Have a wonderful new year!

University courses using TPACK

Matt Koehler and I rarely (if ever) explicitly mention the TPACK framework in our teaching. Of course the framework guides all that we do in class - but we have never really felt the need to throw another acronym (or series of acronyms such as TK, CK, TPK and so on)...

Twittering a tale

My favorite short short story is by Hemmingway. It is all of six words long - but boy, does it pack a punch. It goes, "For sale, baby shoes, never used." Wow! It turns out that such short stories are not merely a novelty. The advent of Twitter and microblogging, with...

Models of design, creativity and more…

The Dubberly Design Office has created a series of models of innovation, play and design. These are terrific resources and I just found out about them by chance. I see these as being quite significant in the classes I teach, including CEP817: Learning Technology by...

What a wonderful video! I would nominate it for the best animated short film of 2010 🙂 I know it is early but what a great start to the new year.
